Jesse Jackson - Loughborough College
At Loughborough College, Jesse has been training with a number of his colleagues since September for a 100k hike across the beautiful, but challenging Peak District in support of UOCEAN LEICESTER in July.
UOCEAN® 2050 is dedicated to the protection of the world’s rivers and ocean, animals and beaches through our network of chapters, volunteers, educational institutions, businesses and governments to remove #1BILLIONKILOS of marine plastic by 2030.
The UOCEAN LEICESTER Chapter is particularly focused on their clean-up of the River Soar, the Grand Union Canal and their local area.
Jesse also supports the World Food Forum Education programme which aims to provide access to knowledge and actionable solutions for healthy diets and a healthy planet, while inspiring children and youth everywhere to create a better food future for all and helping to tackle local food deprivation.
