The Good for Me Good for FE Campaign drives a sustainable programme of community action across the UK. To support this mission, our Changemaker Programme has been developed to recognise and reward the skills, commitment and impact through the power of volunteering.

The Changemaker Programme engages students by combining progressive pathways (Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced) with achievement grades (Bronze, Silver and Gold), creating both short-term milestones and long-term goals. Learners work through a series of accessible, engaging modules, combined with a minimum number of volunteering hours to achieve their digital certificate, evidencing the employability skills they have developed.  This approach sustains motivation by offering continuous recognition for additional hours of volunteering, encouraging learners to move beyond minimal participation toward deeper commitment and impact.

The structure not only supports progression but also reinforces identity-building, as individuals evolve from “Community Starter” to “Change Maker,” linking effort with a growing sense of leadership and contribution. By blending incremental rewards with clear pathways to higher responsibility, the model maintains engagement, fosters persistence, and prepares students for meaningful community leadership.
