Kirkwood College supports the Kirkwood Memorial Trail
The first annual Kirkwood Memorial Trail was held on Sunday 2nd October. The sun was shining ready for 24 entrants to challenge themselves around 26 miles of this very beautiful, but also very hilly part of Yorkshire.
The event was held to raise money for the Kirkwood Hospice in loving memory of my partner Katrina Cross. Although a count is still being undertaken we have raised £1400 so far. A great effort from all college departments who have contributed.
Next year has already been talked about with expansion to different types of cycle rides to enable more families to participate.
