Newham College has developed a partnership with Community Food Enterprise (CFE)

registered charity Community Food Enterprise that is rooted in East London led by CEO Eric Samuel MBE. Founded in 2002, the CFE mission works to alleviate food poverty as well as develop a viable and sustainable food business that will provide training, capacity building, and employment opportunities for residents of East London.

As a College we are excited to have collaborated with the CFE charity under the 'Good for ME, Good for FE' initiative, and due to the generosity of our staff and students as part of #FEFoodBankFriday who have been donating items on a weekly basis, we are in a position to pay it forward.

Eric, alongside his colleague Ade, came into Newham College recently, joined by students from the Newham College Student Parliament and Director of Student Services Sharon Cousins and Head of Student Services Anthony Brathwaite, we were able to handover over 200 items of food and toiletries that will be distributed throughout the local community and we are excited that we at Newham College as an 'anchor institution' could be of assistance to our local community and organisations.
